Asoutlinedinthe“Acuteconcussion”module,the5thversionoftheSportConcussionAssessmentTool(SCAT)andChildSCAT5,developedbytheConcussioninSportsGroup,arestandardisedtoolsthatshouldbeusedfortheassessmentoffootballplayerssuspectedtohavesustainedaconcussion.1TheSCAT5isvalidatedinathleteswhoare13yearsofageorolder.Forchildrenyoungerthan13,theChildSCAT5shouldbeused.
